Darryl & Helen's Wedding

I photographed Darry & Helen's friends wedding (Rick & Amanda - March 2008), so I was very happy to be asked to photograph Darryl & Helen's Wedding.

Darryl & Helen were married on Saturday 15th November 2008, on the grounds of the Burswood Resort Casino. There were a couple of mishaps on their wedding day, including Darryl's wedding ring falling off the ring cushion somewhere within the Burswood Resort. (Luckily Helen's bridesmaid discovered the ring just before the ceremony in the corner of the hotel room!). Darryl & Helen had organised a Dove release for the end of their Wedding Ceremony. During their Ceremony, a strong gust of wind tipped over the Doves cage and the Doves flew off!! As Darryl & Helen are such an easy going, happy couple, they just laughed off these events :)

A photo session was held in nearby East Perth. It was a shame we didn't have more time for photos, particulary with a larger bridal party! Yet we had a great time with them all.

Paul & Andrew from PRESTIGE WEDDING ENTERTAINMENT were the DJ & MC's at Darryl & Helen's Wedding Reception, that was held at BURSWOOD PARK FUNCTION CENTRE. Paul & Andrew are always a pleasure to work with, as they offer such a professional DJ/MC service. 

Helen was a few months pregnant on her wedding day and her & Darryl have since welcomed their beautiful daughter into the world :)

Benn & Trena's Wedding

Benn & Trena were referred to me by past clients, Steve & Katy (Feb 2007).

Benn & Trena's wedding was held on Saturday, 8th November 2008, with their Ceremony at Christ Church in Claremont. Bridal Party photos were taken at Cottesloe Civic Gardens and their Reception was held at beautiful Matilda Bay.

Benn & Trena are such a loveable couple! They were so relaxed and natural in front of the camera. Benn & Trena's bridal party bought in the laughter :) And they all looked fabulous!!

I was thrilled to work with John & Lisa again, from LAUNCH FILM PRODUCTIONS. They really are terrific videographers :)

Darian & Mandy Family Portraits

Darian & Mandy contacted me last month, as they wanted some family photos taken. 

I met Darian, Mandy & their beautiful children at UWA for the photo session. The kids were full of energy and had alot of fun running around and being in front of the camera :)

Chris & Lee's Wedding

Chris & Lee were married on Friday, 7th November 2008.

When I first met Chris & Lee, they filled me in on the plans for their Wedding Day and I knew straight away their wedding was going to be great!

Chris & Lee chose to have an intimate wedding on board the MIDNIGHT EXPRESS boat and it really was the perfect setting for them. I was able to take photos onboard the boat of Chris & Lee - before their Ceremony and afterwards. Chris' neice & nephew read some beautiful readings during Chris & Lee's Ceremony.

As the sun set, speeches were made and then Chris, Lee and their guests filled the dancefloor for a beautiful night, sailing on the river.

Chris & Lee were so relaxed and truly happy, it made my job of photographing their wedding, so much easier :)

Michael & Lisa's Wedding

Michael & Lisa were married on Sunday, 2nd November 2008 at Rosehill Country Club. Michael & Lisa's beautiful neices and nephew were part of their Bridal Party.

Michael & Lisa are so relaxed and funloving. Their personalities complement each other so well. I was so happy to stay for the first half of Michael & Lisa's Reception, as the speeches were so heartfelt and of course hilarious. It was also great to see most of the wedding guests up on the dancefloor, enjoying themselves :)

Ed & Rana's Wedding

Ed & Rana were married on Saturday, 25th October 2008. Ed & Rana's adorable 10 month old son, Lucas was their Pageboy. He was such a well behaved little boy and enjoyed cuddles from everyone.

Ed & Rana chose to marry at Guildford Grammar Chapel, as Rana's Dad went to school at Guildford Grammar. I was looking forward to photograph at Guildford Grammar for the first time and it certainly didn't disappoint.

Bridal Party photos were taken on the beautiful grounds of Guildford and at Ed & Rana's Reception venue - Chesters. Ed, Rana & their Bridal Party were fantastic to work with.

Luke & Jessica's Wedding

Luke & Jessica are a gorgeous couple that were referred to me by Kirk & Liz (whose wedding I photographed in September 2007). Luke & Jessica exchanged vows at the Craigie Baptist Church on Saturday, 18th October 2008.

When I first met Jess & her mum, they told me how Luke & Jess met. It was a beautiful story. Luke & Jess grew up with their families in a country town in WA. Their parents lovingly joked about the possibility of Luke & Jess one day becoming husband & wife. Jess' family moved back to Perth and it would be years later that Luke & Jess would see each other again. It was then, Luke & Jess fell in love and they have been together ever since.

On their Wedding day, Bridal Party photos were taken at Edith Cowan University in Joondalup and Studmaster Park in Edgewater. Luke & Jess' Reception was held at Wanneroo Bowling Club.

Luke & Jessica share a beautiful connection with one another and they are such friendly, genuine people. I felt so honoured to have met them & their families. 

Luke & Jess' Bridal Party were fantastic to work with!

VFestival Perth - SNOW PATROL

On Sunday 5th April, I attended this years VFestival at Claremont Showgrounds.

There were some great bands playing this year, including Elbow & The Killers. Of course, the main reason for me going along, was to see my favourite band, SNOW PATROL :) The last time that I saw Snow Patrol live was back in 2007, so I was eagerly anticipating this performance.

I was lucky enough to be at the front of the stage area. Due to the promotors restrictions on bringing along professional cameras & lenses to the shows, I chose to take my old Pentax SLR digital camera.

I had the most incredible night and I hope that I don't have to wait another 18 months to see Snow Patrol again!

Duane & Nicole's Wedding

Duane & Nicole were married on Saturday, 11th October 2008. Graham Lambert was their fantastic Celebrant.

Duane & Nicole's 3 year old son Jacob, was the star of the day. He looked so handsome in his little tux :)

Duane, Nicole & Jacob reside in New Zealand therefore they planned her wedding online. Nicole booked my services via email approx 18 months prior to her wedding, therefore it was great to finally meet her just days prior to the wedding date.
